Does ToothNote.ai write the pulpal and periapical diagnosis?
It records the diagnosis the clinician states and the tests that support it. ToothNote.ai does not convert an EPT value or cold-test result into a diagnosis on its own. That remains the clinician's decision and is reviewed before anything is sent.
What if I edit an EPT value after the note is drafted?
The operator-entered value is protected. Regenerating the note or report uses the edited value. Nothing entered chairside is silently overwritten.
Can the report include the restorative recommendation and a return date?
Yes. Treatment completed, restoration recommended, timing, and recall can draft into the report from the recorded evaluation or treatment note, in the clinician's writing style.
Does ToothNote.ai integrate directly with TDO?
Not directly today. Approved reports go by email, and notes copy or download into TDO. Direct integration is entering controlled release for Open Dental first.
Does it handle retreatment appeals?
Yes. Open an appeal with the payer, claim, denied code, and denial reason. ToothNote.ai assembles the test grid, radiograph support, and clinical note into a case-specific appeal for review. The practice submits it, and the payer decides.
